Wanna be in my pack?

Choosing the right dog for this collection was a difficult one, because there are so many gorgeous native dogs to the British Isles that it's hard to choose. I have had the soul of a black Border Collie spirit dog by my side for many years, which I feel was a friend from a previous life in Ireland. So I decided to focus on the Border Collie for this painting in it's honour.

The medicine for dogs is so beautiful. It doesn't surprise me in the least that the word 'dog' when spelled backwards is 'god', because when trained correctly they set us such an amazing example of how to treat each other and how to remember to play and have fun too. Dogs can be so protective of their pack - even in the ether which is why they have an uncanny way of knowing when there is danger near by.

‘Dog medicine teaches us friendship through unconditional love, loyalty, devotion and service. Dogs value family and will bravely protect their pack by warning when trouble is near. Dogs signify that you are on the right path and surrounded by friends.’

Original oil painting on a 20x20cm stretched canvas with painted wraparound edges. Available as an 18x18 cm on A4 Limited Edition Giclée Print and a blank Greeting Card with the nature spirit totem message on the reverse.
