At the time I started painting Otter, I was wondering if the world had gone totally bonkers. Wherever I looked, there were face masks and eyes full of panic and stress. Where was the joy? My daughter and I made it our mission to try and make people laugh when out and about - although jokes seem a bit flat when you can't see smiles and cheeky grins.
Focusing on the message of Otter to not neglect your inner child and seek the joy and humour in the present moment has become very apt. I count my blessings that I have my funny little girl in my life. Yes times are hard for everyone right now, but the love has endured - maybe more so because it has reminded us all not to take each other for granted…
