Last year, my daughter and I - both avid fans of Poldark and teased for years by the beautiful rugged coastline and crystal blue seas, finally took a camping trip to Cornwall to see all the locations where Poldark was filmed.
I carefully plotted every location and all the pretty fishing villages along the way to ensure that we made the most of the time. Our car ‘Skylark’ was starting to go wrong before we left, but by some miracle, it decided to keep going the entire holiday and we went everywhere we could - squashing as much in as we could.
The weather wasn’t always great, but on my brother-in-law's recommendation, got up at 8am every morning to ensure we got there before all the other tourists did.
The little fishing cove you see here was divine and you may recognise it from Poldark perhaps with the stepping stones in the background across the stream.
I featured a cat - laying on the rocks enjoying the smells and roar of the waves.
