During the half-term week, I set myself a little project to do three more nature spirits. I long have had a fascination for Kingfishers. They are so hard to find, being quite shy and seeing humans coming long before they see them. But when you are lucky enough to have one cross your path, you are so rewarded with their magnificent blue plumage. They move so quickly too!
I love the rapid response of working on these smaller 20x20 cm canvases and have enjoyed experimenting with different types of brushes and capturing the droplets of water.
To me 'Kingfisher is the messenger of peace and prosperity. Promising abundance through the careful tracking of the target and calculated timing to decide when to act before diving straight in without hesitation.' There is so much they can teach us about transcendence and reaching for higher realms of spirituality too.
