I've been working on the last Spring Fairy painting for the Spring Elemental Collection, and as this one is a night scene, I decided to add a little fairy dust magic to it as I did with 'The Fairy Tree'.
The painting has changed a few times, as I wanted to capture the blue moonlight dash across the anemone woodlands and wasn't sure whether to have a blue theme running throughout or to keep the colours bright. I changed the hare to dull down the colours to try it out, but on my return from Cornwall had a change of heart. As you can see, the revised painting below is much more colourful and vibrant.
The last stage of the painting was to add the glow in the dark elements. I have shared my special technique in my letter to my subscribers.
